Some days ago, the Gemini button was rolled out in Google Message. Now, The Message app on Android will also give you the option to turn off the Gemini Button. However, the company is still developing this feature.
Gemini Hide Button
Until now, a small FAB that appeared above a rectangular “Smart Chat” floating action button lets you quickly open the Gemini conversation. Now, another button may be placed there with the facility to close it.
To use this, you must go to Google Messages’ Settings and then click on Gemini in Messages. After this, now you can hide the Gemini button. Google may take a little time to start this because it’s a very prominent part of the FAB.
If you scroll through the conversation list, this rectangle shrinks into a rounded square, but the sparkle container remains the same. This new Gemini setting will be widely available as Beta Channel Version 20240808_01_RC00. However, it is yet to be available to all users.
