Google Photos Now Gets a Video Player Makeover, and Timeline Features Added
Google Photos has introduced two notable updates to improve the user experience: a video player makeover and a Timeline feature. These new features aim to make navigating and interacting with video and memories more intuitive and visually appealing. Google Photos has become a great platform for organizing and enjoying all memories.
A reliable Android Authority reported all these features. The look of the video player in Google Photos has completely changed. It now also includes separate volume, pause, and loop buttons below the video. The UI loop button is brand new in this update, and it allows users to turn the feature off and on while watching a video.
The updated video player allows double-tapping on the left and right sides to rewind or forward any video by five seconds, just like YouTube. This feature has not been widely rolled out yet, but it can be easily seen on version 7.4 of the Google Photos app.
On the other hand, the Memories feature in Google Photos is also going to get a big change, which will be known through the timeline. This information has been received through some strings in Google Photos version 7.4. According to the last string, memories have not disappeared completely, and they can still be easily seen in the Collection Tab.
This new feature can be scrollable so users can quickly go to a specific year or month. This timeline feature can reduce the need to endlessly scroll through their library and make it faster and more efficient. The timeline helps streamline the search process by providing a way. However, no detailed information has been given about this feature.
