Google is always trying to bring some exclusive features for its Pixel phones. The charging limit feature is also one of them, which was previously expected to be available with the Android 15 QPR 1 release, but it didn’t happen; unfortunately, it started appearing with the November 2024 update.

Battery limit for Pixel phones save battery damage

According to the SlimRock user, who shared the images of new charging restrictions features on the stable Android 15 with the November 2024 patch with the build version AP3A.241105.007. To explore it, you can check the screenshot below.

It is worth noticing that the battery limitation features are already available with the One UI for Galaxy devices. However, it is only one option to limit the battery to charging at 80%.

This feature will be beneficial for your smartphone battery, as if you regularly charge it to 100%, then it may damage the its lifespan by accelerating its degradation. So if you want to use your device for long time, it will be a useful feature for you.
