Android 15 QPR2 beta 1 is now live for Pixel devices
Google is now rolling out a new Android 15-based QPR2 beta 1 update for Pixel users; more specifically, the update is available for the beta testers to contribute to the next Pixel drop update. Being a beta update, it is dedicated to bringing some new fixes to the functionality of the devices. Let’s explore the full changelog.
Android 15 QPR 2 Beta 1: What’s new
Google hasn’t officially revealed about the changes done in Android 15 QPR2 beta 1. However, according to a report via 9to5Google, the latest beta update has brought some new changes:
- Lighter-themed icons reverted
- Linux kernel update
- Pixel screenshots works again
- A charging limit of 80 % is removed
- Do Not Disturb is getting more customizable
Along with this, the changelog contains the development of a new feature to set 16 KB mode on a device using the developer option. It will let the user try the 16 KB kernel, which will ultimately make the user more independent to use the different sizes of pages between 4 kb and 16 kb.

It is worth noticing that with the latest beta update, Pixel users are getting security enhancements for their devices with the November 2024 patch. The latest software carries firmware version BP11.241025.006.
The latest update is live for select Pixel devices, including Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
