Gemini AI Brings “AI Camera Search” and “Help Me Create” Features to Google Home
Google announced in August Gemini to Google Home update with “AI Camera Search” and “Help Me Create” features. Through these features, Google will be able to provide relevant information to the user using artificial intelligence in its Google Home ecosystem.
The AI camera search will also be able to support Nest Cams and video clips in Google Home by adding detailed ‘AI descriptions’ to make it easier for users to find and review recorded footage. Users can also use just one question to find videos.
This new AI camera search will first be available in US English to “Select Nest Aware Plus users” who are part of the Google Home Public preview. It is likely that this feature will only be available on Nest cameras set up in the Google Home app and legacy cameras migrated to the Home app.
Later, this feature will also be available on Android and iOS devices. It can be seen on the public preview page in the top-right corner of the Google Home app. The brand is expected to launch this feature as early as this week. This feature will be available only for Nest Aware Plus subscriptions and is not available for other users yet.
The second feature in the Google Home App is “Help Me Create,” through which users can enjoy many features. These include remembering to lock the house at night, helping me sleep better, arranging a morning workout, etc. This feature will also be available in the Home app on Android devices next year in English and US only.
