Google has introduced many features in its Gemini application, which allows user to take advantage of AI features Now, with the latest update, it is adding a new sharing feature that will make it easy to share documents from any app for quick analysis.

What’s the purpose of file sharing with Gemini?

For context, currently Gemini enables users to quickly get the AI-generated solution on the uploaded files, but to upload them first, they have to download it on the phone first.

But now, with the latest update, users can easily share the files with Gemini from any Android app. According to the report, via Android Authority, Google will bring new functionality to the Gemini with the latest update with version number 1.0.686588308.

Which files support?

Additionally, according to the report, they also share details of functionality limitation, like users can only share 10 files simultaneously, and it only support plain file in TXT format, while document files are supported in several formats, including DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, DOT, DOTX, HWP, and HWPX 

Moreover, the files are supported in C, CPP, PY, JAVA, PHP, SQL, and HTML extensions, and it also supports CSV and TSV tabular data files, XLS and XLSX files created as spreadsheets, and all documents created in Google Docs and Sheets. To use this functionality, the user will need to purchase the Gemini Advanced Plan, which is priced at Rs 1,950 per month.
