Google Message has now started adding a solution to the low-quality media problem in Chats

Google is going to roll out the ability to share images and videos in their original quality in RCS chats soon. However, earlier the brand introduced the ability to share photos and videos in low quality in which the user could lower or raise the quality as per his wish. Now their original quality has also been added to this quality. 

Google Messages Original Quality

This original quality feature was seen in the Authority Insight APK teardown in August. This new feature will be rolled out with the beta version 20241118_03_RC00 of the Google Messages app. This feature can be widely released soon. 

After this update, the user will get a “Media Quality” sheet from the top right corner in the chat, which the user can use by dragging it from the top. Users will have two options; the first is “optimized for chat,” which will give you a low-resolution version of the image or video to share in the chat. 

The second option is “Original Quality,” which will let you send the media in full resolution. This original quality setting will have an HD+ icon, which helps in sending all the photos and videos in high quality. Once users select one of these, they can send the images in high resolution. However, it may take some time to send photos and videos in this high quality.
