Google Messages is adding many features one after the other these days, and it is also going to add a new “Your Profile” setting. Through this feature, it will be known from which name and profile you are now “sending” in Google Messages. This new feature is found in the form of a “send as” notice just above the text field in RCS conversations.

It also shows the user’s Google Account Profile Picture and name, and this line will also disappear after sending the message in the thread. This latest version will be seen through Google Message Beta 20241112_00_RC00. After this, the brand can launch it steadily with version 20241029_00_RC01 and can also see it “send as.”.

However, the brand allows you to share your Google Account profile in Google Messages with the people you send messages to. The profile set by the user overrides the saved contact photo, but recipients will retain the saved name “if it’s different” on their device’s Contacts app.

The feature allows users to open the profile menu in the top-right corner and see a “Your Profile” menu to customize the name and photo. Changing their name or photo will take them to Google Account Settings. Additionally, users can control “show name and picture” with three options.

These three options include only your contacts and no one else who you send the message to. You can also share the profile with a suspected spammer or block the conversation. There is also a feature to report spam.
