Google Message Introduces Text Captions To RCS Photos

Google Messages has grown to nearly 1 billion users globally, and Google is still trying to bring new features with RCS. This RCS offers features like a Messages app trying indicator, inline replies, group chat, video calls and Photo and video sharing. These features can be easily seen in Pixel devices.

Text Captions Feature To RCS Photos

Apart from this, the Google is now trying to bring a new feature which has been redesigned. It has changed how photos sent with text in RCS conversations are displayed in Google Message. This redesign rolled out more widely in the stable channel. After the update, this style only applies to new RCS images you send and does not work in old message history.

Additionally, there is no change in the presentation of photos in SMS conversations, but sending an image and an RCS message simultaneously will cause the text to appear above the Photo. The redesign will see the Photo appear first on SMS conversations, and then the text will appear below it. Also, the brand is working on another design in which the bottom corners of the text bubble will be bent down to match the top of the Photo to Google Message.

This feature looks great in terms of captions, and it matches the design of other messaging apps. However, there is no confirmation when this new feature will be seen on the device. The brand is expected to roll out its new feature for Pixel devices soon.
