Android 14 beta is now available for development, testing, and feedback. Now, Android users can enroll their devices to try out new cameras and media, privacy and security, system UI, and developer productivity features. On the other hand, Google’s report suggests that Android 13 is now installed on around 15% of active devices worldwide but still ranks fourth.
According to the information, from time to time, during a period of seven days, Google will collect data about several Android-specific devices from the Play Store around the world and present them to developers through Android Studio.
Through Android Studio reports you can find the percentage of devices that are running on a particular Android version or newer. This is useful for selecting the lowest version of Android supported by the app, so you can see which apps are supported by your device and which are not.
Comparing Android Studio data for April 2023 with the date for June 2023 indicates that Android 13 has seen another period of growth, growing from 12.1% in April to 14.7% in June. So, we can say that Android 13 is now installed on around 15% of active devices worldwide, but Android 11 is still the most common version, with 23.1% of active devices installed universally.
Moving on, Android 12, 11, and 10 each saw a slight drop. Android Oreo, on the other hand, saw an increase between April and June, from 6.7% to 8.3%, But still down from 9.5% in January.
