Google has been offering small but attractive and convenient features through new updates for some time now. Again, it is releasing its latest update, ChromeOS 116, consisting of recent changes and additions for a better and enhanced experience.

What’s New?

With this new update, the brand provides various additions to increase convenience and enhance the platform’s performance.

 It brings enhanced “Autocorrection”. The company enabled this feature as a default for the English language in the appropriate app. This feature helps the users while typing with a physical keyboard, and it will automatically fix spelling, typing, grammar, and other errors. Also, the company stated that this newly improved Autocorrect will increase the smooth performance of the virtual keyboard and other assistive features.

Another new change has arrived in the Files app. This new ChromeOS 116 update search works on local and Google Drive together simultaneously. Filters on the result page consist;

  • My files or Everywhere
  • Any time, Today, Yesterday, Last week, Last month, Last year
  • All types of audio, Documents, Images, and Videos

ChromeOS 116 provides the ability by which the users can convert their PDFs, which are essentially images, into text using Optical Character Recognition (OCR); it leads to an improved screen reader experience. Now, the users on the Acer Chromebook 516 GE, Asus Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flip, and Lenovo Ideapad Gaming Chromebook have the power to “Customize the colour of the individual zone of the RGB keyboard. And the single-colour option stays available.

Google, by this upgraded ChromeOS, enhances the user’s experience at their convenience. It improves the customization options; for instance, touchpad scroll direction and display size are available even before the users start using their Chromebook. Moreover, companies also provide a few materials. You spring up with all the changes.
