After months of testing, Gmail for Android has officially rolled out a redesigned “Quick Reply” for conversations. You will find larger pill-shaped buttons for Reply, Reply All, and Forward, as well as emoji reactions, to make it easier to respond by scrolling down below the message.

Gmail Quick Reply Feature

Quick Reply docks a text field at the bottom of the screen and appears above Gamil’s persistent bottom bar, making it easier to respond without having to scroll further. Additionally, you can attach a file on the left side, and its menu also has Reply, Forward, and Change Recipient options that complement the forward and emoji compact bar.

You can start typing immediately after tapping a text field without opening a new screen. It includes some new layouts that let you contextualize the content of the message for a new chat-style experience with UI, and it can give a more straightforward reply. However, this feature can save everyone time, and its new features seem helpful.

The company tested it in November last year and developed it with the UI features. The Gmail Quick Reply redesign was announced today, along with Android updates for Google messages and Google Home. This update is widely happening on the Gmail 2024.05.05.x version for Android.

Gemini Button in Gmail

After this, the brand will work on the Gemini button in the Gmail Android app, which will also roll out soon. You can easily switch your Gmail Android App to the Gemini Gmail App. According to some reports, some beta testers use it, and we hope that it will also be seen in the Android Apps. This Generative AI becomes more helpful for saving time and writing messages in any language.
