Google Might Introduce a Dedicated Birthday Chip To the Google Calendar To Make Easier To Remember Birthdays

It’s next to impossible to remember everyone’s birthday, especially in this fast-paced world where everyone is busy in their own life. Adding birthdays to the calendars could be a quality life saver. Considering this, most people consider adding birthday events to calendar apps, including Google Calendar, so they can be reminded of such important events and dates, eliminating the need to manually create the event every year. Meanwhile, Google appears to have upgraded this process to make it easier for users to add birthdays to the Google Calendar app.

As of now, the process of adding birthdays to Google Calendar certainly includes creating a full-day event that reoccurs every year, where users need to set it up as an event manually, remove the time duration, mark them to make it an all-day event, and also set them to repeat annually. Meanwhile, this may change. Google appears to have stepped up, making adding birthdays within the Google Cale easier and more convenient.

A new dedicated birthday chip might arrive within Google Calendar

With the latest Google Calendar v2024.21.0-637471596 update, Google seems to have added a dedicated birthday chip to the Google Calendar app, which is expected to make it even easier for users to add birthdays. This new dedicated birthday chip will make every aforementioned change for you, giving you the ability to change or add fewer things. Also, you will be able to set the birth year. Alternatively, this could display the person’s age next to their birthday event.

However, this new feature is still not live in the Google Calendar. Thus, you will still need to add the birthday events you are currently adding. Plus, it’s important to note that it’s possible that Google may or may not add the new dedicated birthday chip within the Google Calendar.
