WhatsApp is working on bringing a double-tap reaction feature
WhatsApp is capable of making changes to make its app a better social media platform and enhance the user’s experience. The brand will release the WhatsApp beta 2.24.11.16 update for Android, in which these new features can be easily seen. However, the brand has already announced that WhatsApp has introduced new media reaction shortcuts.
WhatsApp Developing Double-Tap Reaction Feature
This feature allows users to react quickly to photos, videos, and GIFs directly from the media viewer screen. It also provides a more efficient way to express emotions through emojis and react to multimedia content without going back to the chat view. WhatsApp is trying to develop additional tools to speed up message reactions.
Additionally, this double-tap reaction feature is designed to save time and enhance communication through the default heart emojis, which will save time as users will no longer need to open the reaction tray. Users only need to open the reaction tray when they want to react with emojis other than the default heart emojis.
It is important to note that users may accidentally react to old messages while scrolling through their chat history. A toggle can be developed to turn off this feature in the future. This feature is currently under development and will be available as an update shortly.
