Google Plans To Add Drag and Drop Feature To Chrome For Android

Google is soon working on drag and drop functionality in Chrome for Android devices, but this feature is already present on the desktop version. For Android, it can also help in improving the browsing experience and productivity. This new feature has yet to be widely rolled out. 


This upcoming feature will roll out in channel version 129 in Chrome for Android. After getting it, users will be able to easily move files from one place to another within their browser and from their browser to another app. The Enable Drag and Drop Files for M129 commit has been spotted on Chromium, and it is expected that this feature will be available for testing soon. 


Moreover, this upcoming feature will be enabled by default, significantly improve the user experience. This upcoming drag-and-drop feature is usually used for tasks like rearranging desktop icons, moving files, and designing web pages.

This feature is natively supported by the operating system. In some cases, the feature can also be used to resize images and change their orientation.
