November 2024 Security Patch now Rolled Out to Pixel Devices
Android 15 recently received a stable release, and the update brings the November 2024 Security Patch for Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, tablet, fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9a, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold. This patch will be rolled out on the first Monday of the month but generally addresses vulnerabilities that occur on the device.
The November 2024 patch of the Android 15 update released on 2024-11-01 fixes 21 security issues, while the one on 2024-11-05 fixes 23 issues. All these vulnerabilities range from high to critical, causing known and unknown issues in the device and also degrading the user experience.
This includes fixes to Bluetooth, display and graphics, touch, and user interface issues. It also includes fixes to Bluetooth range issues in some cases so that device connections are no longer interrupted. Also, fixes issues with viewing camera tilt when zooming between cameras in some cases.
Additionally, fixes to flashing white dots in some cases in display and graphics and flickering screen brightness have been made. Also, fixes to issues that prevented adaptive brightness from activating in some cases have been made. This includes fixes to issues with pressing the keyboard dismiss button in some cases and general improvements to performance and stability in some UI transitions and animations.
