Google Maps Updated AQI levels with Real Time to users
Google added a new feature to its Maps app for its users, which will show the air quality of any area with a real-time average. Apart from air quality, suggestions and information will also be given in this Maps app based on its severity. It will also alert about the area of AQI to users.
Real Time AQI on Google Maps
AQI updates every hour in Google Maps, and users can also get information about the air quality of any place in India. This feature will be rolled out in more than 40 countries starting this week. With the help of the Google Maps AQI scale, pollutants can be measured in any area whose rating will be between 0 and 500 as usual.
In this, air quality between 1.0 and 50 is considered the best, and 2.51 to 100 is considered satisfactory. Similarly, 3.101 to 200 is considered moderate, 4.201 to 300 is considered bad, and 5.301 to 400 is considered very bad air. All these are represented in the form of different colors, in which green is used for good and red is used for severe conditions.
Based on these colors, Google Maps displays a warning note. Google Maps AQI can be accessed from both desktop and mobile devices. To know more about the air quality of your place, first of all, Google Maps has to be opened. Then, click on the layers icon and select air quality.
Only after this will it show the real-time AQI level of your selected location. After this, users can also check the air quality of any place while traveling. This feature can also prove to be a boon for allergic and respiratory patients.
