YouTube released 8K video supports for Meta Quest

YouTube has released a new update for Meta Quest, which beneficiaries can take advantage of. These resolutions include 8 K so that YouTube’s videos can be watched with YouTube’s quality. However, it is believed that this HDR video will not support 8K. 

According to the recent reports The feature was recently introduced with a new update to YouTube’s app for Meta Quest into YouTube; with video streaming, they are also going to start taking appropriate action against third-party apps that block ads, and users will get better picture quality along with other features.

The latest version of the Meta Quest app will support 8k resolution or 7680 x 4320p. This feature was also seen on Meta Quest 3, which was launched in October 2023. The Meta Quest 3 display was said to feature a 4k LCD panel with a 2064 x 220p resolution. 

Users have to update apps to get these features. After this, you can easily get 8K videos. You will see the options to change the quality by tapping on the setting icon at the bottom. Selecting 4320p will play all the videos in 8K resolution. 

However, the Quest 3 does not yet support 8K quality with HDR videos, so users will be limited to only 4 K resolution. The special thing is that as long as the video is in SDR quality, users can also easily watch 360-degree content in 8 K.

However, even after its announcement, some problems may still arise while using this feather, such as buffering and errors. Additionally, it will start appropriate action against apps that use its API or violate the company’s terms of service.
