WhatsApp Is Rolling Out A New Interface For Status Updates Along With a Vertically Arranged List of channels, Currently Available To Some Beta Testers

WhatsApp has always ensured that the best possible features and upgrades are brought to offer a more accessible and convenient experience to users. Meanwhile, the status updates feature within WhatsApp significantly allows users to get a sneak peek into others’ life updates while sharing theirs. However, in the recent past, the status updates section has received plenty of upgrades, and this time, WhatsApp seems to have introduced a more accessible layout for these status updates, allowing users to preview their status without opening every individual status.

WhatsApp is rolling out a new interface for the status updates tray and a vertical list for recommended channels

WhatsApp is rolling out a new interface for status updates along with a vertically arranged list of channels, which is currently available to some beta testers only. As per the information shared by WABetaInfo, spotted with the latest WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.12.20 version, WhatsApp has already started rolling out a new interface for status updates.

More extensive preview for Status updates

This new yet significant update to the status updates sections will allow users to see a bigger thumbnail preview of the status updates shared by the people in their contacts, thus eliminating the need to open every individual status. This further adds an additional layer of convenience to the user’s experience.

Vertical arrangement for recommended channels

Another noticeable change could also be seen: WhatsApp is revamping the view of the recommended channels, which will now be arranged vertically rather than horizontally. This latest revamp will offer more accessibility, as users will be able to quickly view those channels without requiring to scroll horizontally.

Moreover, the new interface for status updates and a vertically arranged list of channels are rolling out and are currently available to some beta testers. At the same time, this new update will be rolling out to more people over the coming days.
