The Google Calendar Gemini extension has started rolling out with AI for both Android and the web. The new feature leverages Google’s Gemini AI Model to allow users to interact with their calendars through conversational language. It is designed to streamline event creation, editing, and search and allows users to access other features through voice or typed queries.
Gemini Calendar Extension
The Gemini extension for Google Calendar includes several features, including event creation, event editing, event search and query, and event cancellation. Through these features, users can add details at any date and time, as well as add appointments, photos, meetings, or reminder schedules. Event editing also allows you to rename or reschedule an event, which improves some functionality for more advanced users.
Event search and quarry also allow some users to quickly search for specific events or review their schedules. Additionally, with a simple command, users can also cancel any meeting or event or remove it from the calendar. After this new update, users can use Gemini to search Google Calendar.
- What’s on my calendar today?
- When is my first meeting tomorrow?
- How many meetings do I have today?
- What am I doing this weekend?
- When did I last meet?
- When is my next meeting about?
- Where is tonight’s event?
This rollout is currently limited to the English language only, but it may reach all users soon. This update will appear in the Gemini app on Android and at gemini.google.com. Google’s attempt to create a new ecosystem for users through these features not only enhances productivity but also enhances the overall user experience in managing day-to-day activities.
