Google Home New ‘Favorites’ Widget Is Starting to Roll out for the Google Home app on Android and a Tile on Wear OS

Google’s commitment to offering an advanced and elevated user experience through its services is unparalleled. As spotted in the recently held I/O 2024 conference, Google has positioned itself to introduce a new Favorites Widget for its Google Home app on Android, owing to which the company has already started rolling out the latest Favorites widget for the Google Home app on Android as well as a Google Home Tile for Wear OS.
Previously, Google announced it would add a new Favorites widget within the Google Home app on Android. Meanwhile, the Google Home app on Android has started receiving a new Favorites widget, and a new Google Home Tile and compilation is also being added to the Wear OS.
Google Home app on Android starts receiving a new Favorites widget
The new Google Home’s Favorites widget is designed for users’ interaction with their smart home devices, automation, and actions in a square-shaped grid, which can take up the entire home screen or shrink to a single line. The widget constitutes a Dynamic color theme that seamlessly adapts to your device’s home screen for a more personalized experience. Meanwhile, the Favorites widget grid shows your smart home devices, including kitchen lights, thermometer temperatures, and more.
A Google Home Tile and compilation is also being added on Wear OS
Conversely, Google is adding the new Favorites Tile and compilation for Google Home on Wear OS. This new tile on Wear OS allows users to view up to five devices and open the entire app. However, due to the limited space, Google Home provides icons but no text labels. Alongside, the Google Home compilation on Wear OS is a simple app icon for Google Home.

Moreover, the Favorites widget for Google Home on Android is rolling out with the latest version 3.18 of the Google Home app, and a Tile and compilation for Google Home on Wear OS has also started rolling out with the Wear OS app updates.
