The Google app is now getting a new notification tab in the bottom bar, along with other tabs including Home, Search, and Saved. This change will bring a few new changes to the overall appearance of the home window.

The Google app notification tab arrives with the new update

It is worth noticing that the notification icon was previously available next to the profile image. Earlier this year, the new notification tab was spotted in testing in the beta stage. Now, after getting the green signal, the company has started rolling out this change to stable users.

According to the report, the new chat has already started rolling out for Android devices. It is also getting some new changes and has already arrived on iOS devices.

With the help of the notification tab, you can stay alert about new updates, such as “Follow topics as you search to get updates on the things you care about.”. For convenience, it provides news in chronological order, with ‘Today” or “New for you” appearing at the top and “Earlier” after that.
