Google Photos may soon come with a “Spotlight” feature to automatically trim videos and other new features. According to APK, this feature can be seen soon in the coming days, and through this, the user can also get new types of editing tools in the video. This feature will be made available first for Android.

Google Photos Presets Feature

The new feature of Google Photos can be seen in version 6.97. Also, the new Spotlight feature is now called Presets, and it can provide four predefined video options. This video preset effectively also adds one-tap editing tools, which are given below:

  • Basic Cut – It can be used to trim videos and enhance colors.
  • Slow Motion – It applies a slow-motion effect to the selected area of the video.
  • Zoom – It automatically zooms in and out of the selected area.
  • Tracks – It automatically track and zoom in on a person in the video.

We need to install a 3MB editing tool to apply these video presets. After that, the presets can be applied by navigating the video and editing it. The video can then be downloaded by tapping and cropping it. You can also adjust the duration of the effect using the slider tool.

This makes the slow-motion effect last a little longer. Unfortunately, you can’t export a video that uses all four presets. Hopefully, these options will come to Google Photos soon, as the brand hasn’t confirmed its rollout.
