Instagram is Bringing a New Account Feature For Teens
The main objective of this update is to provide security to teens so that they can have a positive experience while using this app. To provide these protections, a separate safe setting will be automatically created for teens on Instagram. With this setting, they can easily control who can connect with them and what content they can see.

Along with this, parents can also control their screening time, and teens under the age of 16 will also need parental permission to change these default settings. This teen account will help prevent teens from coming in contact with harmful content or interacting with the wrong people online. It will also include features to protect teens and will be redesigned for a new user experience.
Teen accounts will be private accounts by default, which means that only approved followers can see the content of teens. It will also have the facility of message restriction and sensitive content control. Additionally, Instagram Hidden Words will filter out offensive comments and messages.
This new feature will encourage teens to take a break after 60 minutes of usage per day, and Sleep Mode can also disable notifications between 10 PM and 7 AM. Additionally, parents can monitor who their teen has recently messaged and block Instagram access during certain hours. This new feature will also give parents a chance to learn about topics of interest to their teens.
