Google Pixel 9 series is expected to launch on August 13 in India and worldwide. According to a report, Google can also offer satellite SOS service in its device along with features like Apple’s. However, testing is currently going on the Android 15 beta update, which also mentions many features like battery, new animation, icons, etc.

Google Pixel 9 to Offer 2 Years of Free Satellite SOS

Under this update, it has been learned that Google Pixel devices can also get free Pixel Satellite SOS for two years, similar to the free service Apple offers. A teardown of this latest Android 15 beta 4 update has also been done; the strings found in the code suggest that Google may also include an emergency satellite connectivity feature called “Pixel Satellite SOS.”

In this feature, when a user connects to emergency services via satellite, all his information, including his name, email, phone number, location, emergency contact, and device details, is shared with “emergency service and satellite service providers.” This increases the chances of the user getting help soon. A tipster first reported this feature in March.

The satellite SOS setting page is also likely to be added under the Safety and Emergency tab in the update of this Adaptive Connectivity Service App.

All the information will be provided so emergency service providers can quickly get help. Customization of the information to be shared can also be given here. A link to buy Garmin Search and Rescue Insurance can also be given here.
