Instagram is making changes to remove some features so that all the problems faced by the user end are resolved. The company has confirmed this through social media. From now on, when the user opens the social media platform, it will not refresh automatically so that the user can also see the posts that are already present on their screen.

Earlier, the company had confirmed that the quality of Instagram Stories and Reels that get fewer views will be reduced, which will make it easier to reserve computation resources for videos being watched by a large number of users.

The Instagram official has further stated that “Instagram has stopped working internally, known as “rug pull,” whereby a user interface feature automatically refreshes the feed when the user accesses the app.” Moseri said that the app was trying to load content, and during this time was displayed the last downloaded posts and videos.

The feature aims to improve the user engagement experience, and the company admitted that it was a very ‘annoying’ process as the story and post content already on the screen would move or disappear. This made users scroll to find it, which was extremely frustrating.

The brand is working to eliminate this process, and instead of automatically refreshing the user feed, Instagram will now be able to load content. The newly loaded content will be placed below the previously displayed post as the user scrolls. This will also make the user feel a new engagement through the platform, and it will provide a better user experience.
